Two small tech companies sharing an office looking for a very bright and motivated individual who would like to learn while contributing to the success of our firms.
One company is a broadband VoIP and data service provider to businesses nationwide. The other is a healthcare IT application service provider to medical transcription companies. By working in these two firms you will be exposed to a variety of technologies and services and learning experiences.
You will be able to learn about and contribute to our internal and client-facing software development projects as well as interfacing directly with clients for technical support. You may be exposed to and learn various aspects of systems engineering, networking, VoIP, broadband, ASP and datacenter technologies. You`ll certainly learn about troubleshooting. And if you are interested there may even be an opportunity to participate in and be commissioned for sales.
You should have an educational background in computer programming. We use PHP and Perl for our legacy projects.. And we`re planning to develop a new social networking based venture for which we have not yet determined the development language or platform. If you`re entrepreneurial or like doing research and thinking out of the box, those are further reasons you may like this opportunity.
We have a small office in the Wall Street area, overlooking Broadway. We have a laid back yet serious atmosphere. And we`re looking for the right individual who would fit into our team and potentially grow with us.
In the past we have hired interns to full-time, long-term positions.
A modest stipend will be provided to cover daily food and travel costs.
If you become a valuable part of the team we will consider offering you an entry level wage as soon as 3 months after starting, with another salary review 3 months after that.
We`re looking for someone who is articulate and conscientious who pays attention to detail yet has a creative mind, who wants to contribute to our firm and to society, someone with a passion for technology and a yearning to do something useful with it.
